The 10TH GHA Livigunn Challenge
Have you got what it takes?
The time is here for the 10th GHA Livigunn Challenge, which this year is being held in a currently secret location of the picturesque North Yorkshire. The GHA Livigunn Challenge is a fun filled schedule of outdoor activities which will test clients both physically and mentally, over the weekend of the 10th -12th of September 2010.
This year GHA Livigunn are again supporting WaterAid, a charity that enables people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. The last challenge raised over £10,000, a fantastic achievement only made possible due to the efforts of our teams.
The event consists of approximately 15 teams of construction “professionals” competing against each other over a series of stages, the details at this stage are top secret but will include mountain biking, orienteering and some special events. The competitors will require a certain amount of navigation skills, basic fitness and the ability to work as a team. However the aim of the event is to have fun whilst raising money for a very worthwhile cause. GHA Livigunn will cover the cost of the event, asking competitors in return to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1000 per team to help achieve this years target of £20,000.
Stewart Tennant, GHA Livigunn’s Director commented: “This bi-annual challenge has become a fixture in the calendars of many of our clients and staff and the funds raised have increased steadily over the years. Planning for the 2010 event is now well underway and we plan to make it bigger and more challenging than past events. Details of the 2010 event will be sent out over the coming months allowing plenty of time for all those wishing to take part to start training!!”
The event winning team will collect the coveted GHA Livigunn Challenge trophy with a special trophy being awarded to the top fund raising team.
