Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers
Trained in Hazardous Area Classification
Education:
BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering (1st Class).
Experience:
15+ years experience working in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical or water industries for engineering contractors/consultants.
- Project Management
Project Management of multi-discipline design and installation teams for projects in the water, pharmaceutical or fine chemical industries.
- Process Design
Preparation of full front-end process design packages comprising P&IDs, PFDs, Data Sheets, Calculations, Schedules, Process Descriptions, Specifications, etc. Liaison with vendors for equipment selection etc. Preparation of briefs for mechanical & civil design. Interface with Instrument & Electrical Engineers.
- Design Management
Engineering & Design Group Manager at medium sized multi-disciplined engineering contractor, responsible for resource management, engineering systems and quality.
Experience working for the Design Co-ordination team for an alliance of 5 companies undertaking front end design of a nuclear waste store. In particular, responsible for developing and implementing a design process to properly manage quality, risk and change.
- cGMP/Validation
Development of Validation Master Plans, Qualification Protocols, chairing of cGMP Reviews and Design Qualification auditing.
- Site Installation/Commissioning
Experience of construction management and commissioning of batch chemical and pharmaceutical plant.
